Red Velvet Cupcakery, VA- Food Review

Hello my little green beans!! I hope you are all doing well today!

This past weekend I went to Virginia to visit one of my best friends, Cassi. The trip was even better than I had hoped which is saying a lot! Like me, Cassi is a huge food lover so you can only imagine all the delicious restaurants we went to and meals we made together! Basically if you are part of my family or one of my friends, it is known that while we are eating one meal we are planning the next....that's normals, right??! Just go with it! Haha

One out of the many stops we made over the weekend was to Reston Town Center which has tons of clothing and jewelry stores along with many places to eat! The ONLY store we decided to grace with our presence was the Red Velvet Cupcakery and let me just say it was sooo worth it! Red Velvet Cupcakery is a small little store that has mostly regular cupcakes BUT they also offer a vanilla and a chocolate vegan AND gluten-free cupcake, holler!!! To say I was extremely excited is an understatement. Now the hardest part came....chocolate or vanilla....vanilla or chocolate?!?! This cupcake decision was probably as hard as how to part the red sea, if not harder!!! What is a girl to do in this situation??? I did what any person would do in this predicament.... I ordered one of each, of course!!!! Normally, I would order one of each for myself and sit at the table analyzing textures and flavors not minding the caloric intake because it was for the sake of my readers!!! But thankfully (calorie speaking) Cassi was there to save the day and share half of each. Not gonna lie , I wish I had more to myself haha!

This is what the cupcakes looked like...

I was soo surprised to see how moist and flavorful the cupcakes were! You would never have known it was vegan or gluten-free!! Cassi and I both agreed that the chocolate was better! I was incredibly impressed! I highly recommend everyone to try their delicious cupcakes if you live in the area! Thankfully I don't because they would know me by name.... It was THAT good!!!

They have a few locations: Washington D.C., Arlington VA, and Reston VA.

Green hugs and kisses,

A regular cup cake recipe was altered to make this wonderful gluten-free cup cake. It makes a delicious cake so good you could use it for a birthday.
